ICP-OES is used for the simultaneous quantitative determination of the elemental composition in both aqueous and non-aqueous matrices. Sub-ppb detection limits, working ranges extending over several orders of magnitude and the multi-element capability make this technique one of the most versatile atomic spectrometric techniques.
Capabilities
• Multi-element determination in organic and aqueous solutions
• Elements can be determined at the part per million levels on a routine basis
• Semi-automated analysis
• Destructive technique
• Small sample sizes
• Low ppb detection limits
Facilities
Computer-controlled SPECTRO CIROS VISION Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometer with a wavelength range of 120 to 800 nm. It is equipped with different types of nebulizers which allows it to handle solutions with a high solid content. A hydride generator is also available for the determination of hydride forming elements such as arsenic at low concentrations.
